General Summary of Position:
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking to hire a new tenure-track faculty member. The Department presently consists of 26 full-time faculty and is growing. It offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in nearly every sub-discipline of the field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Chemistry and/or Polymer Science at the undergraduate and graduate levels and develop an active, high quality, externally funded and internationally recognized research program.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- A Ph.D. in chemistry, polymer science, or a closely related discipline is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred.

This search is open to all areas of chemistry, with specific interest in materials chemistry, broadly defined and including polymers; artificial intelligence, including applications to experimental design, data-driven discovery, and autonomous experimentation in chemistry; biophysics and biomaterials; and radiochemistry.

This position is full-time, benefited and in the Massachusetts Society of Professors/MTA/NEA union. Anticipated salary based on qualifications within expected hiring range with minimum $75,000 up to $115,000.
