The Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) at University of Massachusetts Lowell serves as a central catalyst for intercultural advancement, diversity, community development, and inclusion. Dedicated to enhancing academic and student success, OMA employs holistic wrap-around services to address diverse student needs comprehensively. The office champions educational equity by providing robust support through educational programs, peer mentorship, and leadership training and plays a pivotal role in promoting student achievement and retention.
The position provides the development and implementation of student success and support programs, enhancing access and retention for diverse student populations. Responsibilities include managing student caseload, success coaching, supporting research exposure and skills development through a STEM-based cohort. Additionally, the position collaborates closely with divisional partners, academic departments and various student services to implement a comprehensive educational program that equips students with a holistic support network, promoting wellbeing and fostering seamless pathways to degree attainment and overall undergraduate student success.
The OMA Coordinator is a grant funded position (October 2024 to May 2026), with potential for continuation contingent on funding. |
Assistant Director of University Events

The Assistant Director of University Events is responsible for the strategic and logistical management of high visibility campus events. Ensures all events promote a positive image of the campus and reflect the brand, values, and culture. Regularly interacts with constituents and campus colleagues. Provides event planning expertise and oversees details and execution of multiple programs and events simultaneously in a fast paced environment. This position requires a high degree of independent decision-making and sound judgment. |
Assistant Curator of Performing Arts

The Assistant Curator, Performing Arts/Asian and Asian American Performance (AC/AAAP) is supervised by and works with the Performing Arts Curator (PAC) to direct the activities of the Fine Arts Center's performing arts department and personnel. This assistant leadership position helps build a coherent, innovative, diverse, and socially relevant performing arts and culture season, featuring artists, projects and outreach and engagement activities from across disciplines, genres, and cultures, including music, dance, theatre, film/media, family shows, international, and more, and that preserves and enhances the identity and goals of the FAC. The AC/AAAP also directs FAC’s Asian and Asian American performance program, the longest-running university-based program of its kind in the country. |
Senior Business Advisor (Hybrid Opportunity)

The position will work directly with the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (MSBDC) Regional Director in planning a strategy for the region including extensive outreach and collaboration with other small business service providers to continually enhance service delivery. |

The teaching load for this position includes courses primarily in the undergraduate BS in Public Health Sciences program and may include teaching courses in the MPH program. The initial appointment for this benefited academic-year position is 2 years, with the potential for reappointment based on satisfactory performance and available funding. Additional position responsibilities will include membership on department committees and school-wide service. The candidate will serve on the Undergraduate Curriculum Advisory Board for the undergraduate Public Health Sciences program. Summer teaching may be available and would be additionally compensated, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. |
