Temporary Full Time Lecturer - Community Department - Spring 2020 Semester

The Department of Community Nursing invites applications for one 'short term' Full-time Lecturer (FTL) position for the spring semester 2020 with possibility of renewal. This is an on-campus position. Primary responsibilities associated with the position include didactic and clinical agency instruction in the traditional undergraduate program. Applicants with specialization in child and family health are strongly encouraged to apply. Additional responsibilities include student advisement and college service.

Minimum qualifications include a master's degree in nursing from an accredited program, a minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience, and RN license in Massachusetts or eligibility for licensure. The preferred candidate will have computer literacy with Blackboard or similar online delivery system and course(s) coordination experience.

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences has approximately 26 full-time nursing faculty members and offers undergraduate and graduate programs in two Departments; Adult Nursing and Community Nursing. The baccalaureate degree program has approximately 450 students in the prelicensure program and 200 students in a fully online RN-BS program. The College also offers graduate programs at the MS, DNP, and PhD level, with approximately 120 students enrolled across the graduate programs. The College has a growing portfolio of international collaborations and offers unique clinical experiences through these collaborations. Programs are fully accredited by CCNE. The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth CNHS was recently named one of the Top Ten Nursing Schools in Massachusetts with the second highest NCLEX pass rate in the state (98%) and lowest tuition costs.

The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is in the beautiful oceanside community of North Dartmouth, about an hour south of Boston, half-hour east of Providence, and half-hour west of Cape Cod.
