Job Summary

This position will provide general administrative support in Auxiliary Enterprises (AE) Human Resources.

 

Essential Functions

  • Assists with day-to-day administration of AE HR/personnel paperwork and ensure timely submission to appropriate offices.
  • Assists with preparing and processing personnel actions related to AE hiring.
  • Helps process undergraduate student hires/actions and coordinates new hire paperwork.
  • Supports AE HR staff with general office duties as needed.
  • Participate in project-based HR initiatives.
  • Participate in campus HR professional development training, conferences, and meetings.
  • Perform other related duties and assist in projects as assigned by the HR Director.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • High School Diploma with one (1) to three (3) year's of experience in Customer Service. A Bachelor's degree can be substituted for years of experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of an effective team with a highly cooperative and collaborative work style.
  • Contributes to the creation of a respectful, inclusive environment that is supportive of diversity.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills with attention to detail with the ability to complete assignments quickly while balancing the demands of concurrent and potentially competing projects.
  • Uses access to sensitive and/or not yet public university-related information only in the performance or the responsibilities of position and exercises care to prevent unnecessary disclosure to others.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).

 

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Bilingual.
  • Experience working in an HR role in a union environment or higher education.
  • Supervisory experience.

 

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Typical office environment.

 

Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday.
  • 8:30am - 5:00pm.
  • Temporary, non-benefited position.

 

Salary Information

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour.
