The Department of Nursing within the Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences invites applications for a Lead Clinical Coordinator who will hold a full-time 12- month non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Nursing. Our programs focus on health in urban populations of all ages and target improving health equity in populations at risk for health and healthcare disparities. Applicants must possess an advanced degree in nursing; clinical experience; well-developed communication, networking and organizational skills; demonstrated leadership and the ability to work within the Traditional and Accelerated curriculum as it relates to clinical experiences.  Applicants must have (or be eligible for) RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Expectations:

  • Work with Clinical Placement Coordinator and Course Coordinators in anticipating and planning for clinical placements each semester.
  •  Establish working relationships with new prospective partnering agencies seeking innovative learning experiences while ensuring responsiveness to course and clinical objectives.
  • Collaborate with Undergraduate Program Directors in determination of clinical hours, types of clinical experiences and clinical placement selection.
  • Meet regularly with the Undergraduate Program Directors as it relates to clinical experiences during the semester.
  • Maintain collegial relationships with all partnering agencies in collaboration with the Clinical Placement Specialist
  • Collaborate with course coordinators in seeking qualified clinical faculty. The Clinical Coordinator will interview and recommend clinical faculty for hire to the Chair of the Department of Nursing.
  • Meet with the undergraduate clinical coordinators monthly during each semester.

Work with the Director of the Clinical Center for Education and Research (CCER) to develop and maintain clinical experiences within the CCER environment.
