General Summary:
The Assistant Director of Student Success provides leadership to student success and retention initiatives within the Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences. They will also serve as a student success coach through one-on-one interactions with students. They will take on leadership of already established initiatives, as well as developing new methods of student support within the Manning College. They will lead a peer mentorship program, supervising graduate student success coaches and undergraduate peer mentors. They will assist with coordination of first-year learning communities and develop an intervention system for at-risk students. Specific responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the students. The Assistant Director will foster a sense of belonging to encourage students to persistence towards graduation.
The Assistant Director will work with MCNHS leadership and the Senior Director of the Office of Student Success and Engagement (OSSE) to develop evidence-based strategies to support student success and transitional student programs. They will provide an added layer of support to the student services specialist during high need times of advising and orientation.

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Student Support Services or a closely related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in advising, student success, or implementing retention initiatives required. Experience working in a diverse, urban environment preferred. Experience in teaching preferred but not required.
