General Summary:
The Training Associate II will provide field based and administrative support on a project and initiative focused on building the capacity of organizations providing integrated employment and community supports for individuals with disabilities. The incumbent will develop and support online and face-to-face (direct) training programs and technical assistance to human service professionals, and provider agency personnel on services and supports for individuals with disabilities. S/he will promote options and awareness in integrated employment, collaborating with project team. The Training Associate II is responsible for the dissemination of training information through multiple formats, including online management systems, conference presentations, individual seminars, and distance education; will work with a team in the development of products addressing the issues related to supporting improved employment outcomes for individuals with significant disabilities.
Examples of Duties:
Design and develop curriculum and conduct face-to-face trainings and online training for integrated employment of individuals with disabilities;
Manage project-related notes, documents, tasks, objectives and goals using an online management system and field based technologies;
Identify needs and develop specific training curricula and plans for technical assistance for community organizations and professionals;
Provide technical assistance and consultation services to a wide range of community organizations and state agencies with a focus on improving policies and practices related to employment and community supports for individuals with disabilities;
Conduct outreach activities in order to build partnerships and collaborations to address project goals;
Work with project coordinator and principal investigators to develop universally designed products such as manuals, training materials, web pages and other materials; work with project team to develop dissemination strategies;
Work in collaboration with ICI evaluation team and consultants to develop and implement plans for project evaluation;
Develop and implement strategies and products that are accessible and responsive to a wide range of audiences, including individuals with disabilities, individuals from diverse linguistic and ethnic backgrounds and family members of individuals with disabilities;
Stay abreast of any changes in the field related to employment and community supports for individuals with disabilities;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation, Special Education or related field preferred, and a minimum of three- five (3-5) years of work experience directly working with individuals with disabilities to become successfully employed in the community required. Knowledge of best practices in employment of persons with significant disabilities on an individual and organizational level required. Local, state and national travel is required.

Ability to effectively and efficiently work in a team capacity to accomplish goals related to project work;
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills;
Strong commitment to customer service.

This is an exempt union position. This is a grant funded position with a current end date of June 30, 2026, subject to renewal contingent on funding and university needs.
