General Summary:
Under the direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Civil Rights and Title IX and Title IX Coordinator, the Title IX and Civil Rights Investigator will serve as the investigator for Title IX and other relevant cases and will conduct interviews with the impacted party, respondent and relevant witness, ensuring a well-documented investigative process. The incumbent will maintain and track all appropriate statistics as required by university policy, as well as federal and state laws, practices, rules, and regulations. The Investigator will coordinate with campus offices and partners, including but not limited to the Office of General Counsel (OGC), Office of Dean of Students (DOS), Office of Human Resources (HR), University Health Services (UHS) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree, JD strongly preferred, and a minimum of three to five (3 - 5) years of relevant experience in the area of investigations, or equal employment opportunity. Knowledge of and/or experience with the Civil Rights Act, Title IX, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and other applicable laws and regulations required. Experience such in conducting investigations alleging discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment, sexual assault and sexual violence and/or law enforcement investigator experience is strongly preferred. Experience working in higher education is strongly preferred. Some travel may be required. The incumbent may be required to work occasional evenings and/or weekends, as required.
