Dr. Kathryn Derose and Dr. Daniel López-Cevallos of the UMass Amherst Department of Health Promotion and Policy are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to begin Summer or Fall of 2025. This is a full time, 12-month, annually renewable position with a maximum duration of 2 years. The Postdoctoral Fellow will contribute to research on community-partnered interventions aimed at addressing health disparities both in the U.S. and/or in Latin America; and secondary data analysis of cardiovascular health among military populations in the U.S. Current topics and populations of focus include faith-based organizations and health promotion; food security and nutrition interventions to improve treatment adherence among people with HIV in the Dominican Republic; and stress and cardiovascular health among military populations. Responsibilities include writing scientific papers, quantitative and qualitative data collection and/or analysis, literature reviews, community and study partners’ engagement, and grant writing. Overall goals and specific activities will be determined collaboratively between the post-doc and Drs. Derose and López-Cevallos but can include: first-authored and co-authored journal articles; development of project leadership skills; NIH and DoD grant submissions; quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods training; community-based participatory research, and formalized mentorship. |

The position acts as a liaison for academic departments with other offices in the Isenberg School of Management (ISOM) including the Undergraduate Programs Office, Graduate Programs Office, Office of Career Success, and the ISOM Dean’s and Administrative Resources Office. |
Associate Cross Country/Distance Coach

This is a full-time (12-month appointment) benefits eligible position. The Associate Cross Country/ Distance Coach’s responsibilities will include the management of all facets of the UMass Boston Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field programs in collaboration with the Head Coach. This position oversees cross country, distance, and middle-distance athletes. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to administration, budget management, alumni stewardship, recruiting, scheduling of competitions, meet management, including hiring officials, team travel, weekly practice sessions, academic monitoring, advising of students, community service events, and compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations. Additional responsibilities may include department-wide duties as assigned. |

Reporting to the Director of Website Strategy & Development, the Website Designer & Content Specialist plays an integral role in planning, designing, and implementing content on UMass Boston’s official website and digital communications. This is a role for a quick learner, a people person, and someone who enjoys variety in their work.
Website Designer & Content Specialist responsibilities include meeting with stakeholders across the university to determine what they need on their branch of the website, developing sitemaps for new and revised web content, designing the layout of new content using Terminalfour content types, choosing and optimizing website imagery, and light copywriting. Put simply, this individual will know how to make website content pop. |
