Progressive Employment Research Intern UMass Boston
The Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) at the University of Massachusetts Boston and partners at the Disability Policy Consortium are looking for members of the disability community to work in a paid research internship as part of a research team studying employment for people with disabilities. The goal of the project is to study the Progressive Employment model, an emerging evidence-based practice that helps job seekers with disabilities to obtain competitive integrated employment. The ICI has a five-year research grant to explore the impact of the Progressive Employment model. Interns on this project will work across several different research studies over the course of the grant.

Chief Undergraduate Advisor/Lecturer UMass Amherst
The Department of English at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a non-tenure track full-time nine-month Lecturer position as the Chief Undergraduate Advisor to begin with Spring 2025 semester. The initial appointment will be for two years with the possibility of renewal. Postdoctoral Research Associate - Mechanical and Industrial Engineering UMass Lowell
The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering in collaboration with the Miner School of Computer Science are seeking a postdoctoral researcher who will have the opportunity to conduct wearable robot research and development. Through an award from the National Science Foundation, the project seeks to develop wearable robotic assistive strategies that adapt to the user’s needs and environment. In this portion of the project, we aim to use soft wearable sensors at the hip and knee to extract information about the user’s walking mechanics and update control strategies. To achieve the specific aims of the project, the researcher will need to identify salient features from the collected data that can be used to update the controller as user/task demands change, incorporate the data into a real-time controller, and evaluate the effectiveness of the control approach.
