The UMass Extension Agriculture Program is seeking applicants to fill a postdoctoral research associate position in Amherst, Massachusetts. Duties will be performed under a funded agreement with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) to develop a system to track the use of climate-smart agricultural practices in Massachusetts, including healthy soils management practices identified in the Massachusetts Healthy Soils Action Plan. The project also intends to advance understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and carbon sequestration occurring on Massachusetts croplands and managed grasslands, including assessing the greenhouse gas and other benefits of climate-smart agricultural practices. |
