The Carpenter I, working within the Alterations Department, maintains and enhances campus buildings and related structures. This role involves applying carpentry techniques and utilizing tools to construct, alter, repair, and/or install walls, stairs, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, hardware, and other architectural elements. The Carpenter I collaborates on alteration projects, performs structural modifications, and ensures high-quality, safe work. This position requires inspecting structures, estimating required resources, and interpreting blueprints or sketches.
Departmental Assistant - Research Coordinator UMass Amherst
The School of Public Health and Health Sciences (SPHHS) and Institute for Applied Life Sciences (IALS) seek a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Research Coordinator (Departmental Assistant) to support a trial funded by the National Institute on Aging into physical activity, sitting and brain health in middle-aged and older adults. This position will be based at the Department of Kinesiology and supervised by Dr. Dominika Pindus whose research focuses on the impact of physical activity and sedentary behaviors on brain health across the adult lifespan. As part of the interdisciplinary project team, the research coordinator will also collaborate with scholars at UMass Amherst at the Center for Human Health & Performance, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, UMass EXTENSION. The successful candidate will also support related research activities being employed by our research team.
Operations Manager UMass Boston
Provide technical assistance for the Division of Marine Operations. Incumbent inspects, maintains, repairs and modifies all types of related equipment such as floats, piers, gangways, moorings, boats and Fox Point Pavilion. Has a working knowledge of hand and power tools, welding and fabricating of various types of metals as well as the ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and manuals. Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and be available for off-hour work requirements.

The Director for Career Engagement and Success provides strategic leadership and vision for the university’s career services function. This role oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of career-related services, programs, and initiatives for students and alumni across all academic disciplines. The Director will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, and external stakeholders to foster career readiness, employment opportunities, and post-graduation success. The position includes the development and oversight of a new career communities model, enhancement of employer partnerships, and collaboration to establish a comprehensive experiential learning model that supports student success and retention.
Access Services Associate, Library (Temporary, Part-Time) UMass Lowell
The Part-time Access Services Associate will contribute to the operation of UML University Library and the Access Services department by participating in: Interlibrary Loan, student employee supervision, circulation desk functions, customer service, stacks maintenance, and other projects as assigned.
