Post Doctoral Research Fellow UMass Boston
The Kelliher lab at UMass Boston is seeking a postdoctoral colleague to join our community, recently awarded a 5-year MIRA grant from NIGMS (R35 GM157067) to study how circadian rhythms interact with nutrients in the environment and cellular metabolism. We utilize the fungal model system Neurospora as well as mammalian cell culture. We employ genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and bioinformatics to study mechanisms of circadian compensation, clock transcriptional networks, and cross-talk between the circadian oscillator and metabolism.
Culinary Worker II (Hampshire Dining Commons) UMass Amherst
Performs routine manual and domestic job duties in a food service operation including cooking, cleaning, and serving food. The basic purpose of this work is to perform cooking tasks and assist with cleaning and food serving work as needed.
Maintainer I (Facilities Services) UMass Amherst
Performs general custodial duties in connection with the cleaning and maintenance of a building or of an assigned area within a building in the Auxiliary Services Department. Works as a member of a team cleaning custodial program (CAPP Hillyard Rovic) which includes housekeeping, cleaning, moving furniture, and trash removal in assigned Auxiliary Services buildings.
Tech Specialist II Horticulture Assistant UMass Boston
Performs technical work related to horticulture work in the campus landscape including planning for the display of and monitoring the planting and maintenance of flowers, flowering shrubs, annual plants and perennial plants. Works under the supervision of the Head of Grounds Services who provides guidance on policies and procedures.
