Assistant Professor (Distributed Parallel Computing) UMass Boston
The Computer Science Department in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin September 1, 2025. We will consider strong candidates in any research area but will prioritize Distributed and Parallel Computing. A PhD in computer science or a related area is required. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and start-up package and is expected to establish a highly recognized, robust externally funded, and independent research program. Assistant Professor (Quantum Information Science) UMass Boston
The Department of Physics in the College of Science and Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applicants for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor to pursue a research program focusing on experimental research in the fields of Quantum Information Science to begin September 1, 2025. We will prioritize candidates whose research complements existing strengths in theoretical Quantum Science and Technology research within the department. Candidates whose research also has potential overlap with experimental research in the department (as an example: applications of quantum sensing to biophysics) are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant is expected to establish an externally funded research program, direct the research of students at the doctoral, masters, and undergraduate levels, and interact effectively with colleagues within the Physics Department and across the College of Science and Mathematics. The successful applicant will also be expected to teach and further develop the Quantum Information Certificate program we have established at UMass Boston. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree and relevant postdoctoral research experience.
Maintainer I (Facilities Services) UMass Amherst
Performs general custodial duties in connection with the cleaning and maintenance of a building or of an assigned area within a building in the Auxiliary Services Department.  Works as a member of a team cleaning custodial program which includes housekeeping, cleaning, moving furniture and trash removal in assigned Auxiliary Services building.
Maintenance Technician II (HVAC) UMass Amherst
The Maintenance Technician II installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical systems and system components, including but not limited to cooling towers, strainers, pumps, air handlers, exhaust systems, fume hoods, etc. Responsibilities include maintaining mechanical system, applying appropriate skills and methods as necessary in the areas of HVAC maintenance and repair, pump maintenance and repair, and air compressors and their related equipment. May assist other employees in the performance of their work. Performs related work as required.
Storekeeper II (Hampshire Dining Commons) UMass Amherst
Performs tasks involved in the receipt, storage, and transfer of goods into and out of the assigned area; maintains inventories and related records; performs related work as required. Orders or adjusts food orders as needed.
