Incumbents also receives, reviews and transmits messages over a state and federal computer network, a fixed radio broadcast system, a police records management system and telephone, all under the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission. Employees in this class operate radio transmitting and receiving equipment; maintain records and logs of messages; search files to obtain information; coordinate radio communications; and perform related work as required. |

The Institute for Applied Life Sciences (IALS) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking a Director for its Human Magnetic Resonance Center (hMRC).
The Director will be a dynamic, inclusive leader with a vision to support on-going excellence in research, to grow the user base, and to establish the hMRC as an outstanding research resource engaged in a full range of human imaging and spectroscopy applications.
The hMRC provides state-of-the-art, non-invasive imaging and spectroscopy of all human body tissues for academic and industry-based research on and off campus. This is the only research-dedicated 3T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)/magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) system in western Massachusetts. This position is accompanied by a non-tenure track clinical faculty appointment. |

Dependent on University operational needs, the positions to be filled are first shift, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday or first shift, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. Or Second Shift, Monday – Friday 1:30 PM to 10 PM
Incumbents of this position perform janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, maintenance and some grounds keeping tasks at the University. The basic purpose of this work is to perform various manual tasks required for the routine maintenance of the buildings and grounds of an educational campus. |
