The College of Science & Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Inorganic Chemistry in the Chemistry Department to begin September 1, 2025. Applicants must have a PhD in chemistry, or a related scientific field, with a track record in experimental inorganic chemistry, broadly defined. The successful candidate is expected to establish a highly productive, externally-funded, research program. Candidates whose scientific interests complement those of existing faculty within the Department and College, and who can develop cross-disciplinary collaborations, are preferred. Our department offers multiple PhD tracks in chemistry, as well as MS, ACS-accredited BS, and BA degrees in Chemistry. Athletic Trainer in UMass Boston
The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing preventative measures, acute care, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries to intercollegiate student-athletes at UMass Boston. The incumbent will be responsible for providing athletic training services as directed by the Head Athletic Trainer to the University’s 19 NCAA Division III varsity athletic programs who compete in the Little East and New England Hockey Conferences. This includes, but is not limited to, managing potentially catastrophic, acute, and chronic athletic injuries within the scope of practice for athletic training, to include rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions. This position is expected to collaborate with the Head Athletic Trainer, and if necessary, the team physician and/or the strength and conditioning coach. Attendance at scheduled team practices and home and away competitions as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer is required. This position will work cooperatively with student-athletes, coaches, and athletic department staff. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining the standards for the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
