The Senior Director of Donor Engagement and Stewardship within University Advancement is a senior member of the University Advancement team entrusted with developing and leading a comprehensive, centralized donor engagement and stewardship strategy for donors of every size and longevity at UMass Boston. They are responsible for orchestrating a multifaceted approach to donor relations that drives increased philanthropic support and advances our institutional goals. Toward this aim, they are responsible for the innovative development and evolution of all programs that result in the acknowledgment, stewardship and impact reporting, recognition, and engagement of every university donor, including major gift cultivation.
Asst. CIO for Business Operations UMass Boston
The Assistant CIO for Business Operations is a senior leader within Information Technology Business Operations, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and serving as a full member of the IT Senior Leadership Team. FLAD/Saab Visiting Professor Portuguese Studies (temporary/part-time) UMass Lowell
The Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD) in Lisbon, Portugal, and the Saab Center for Portuguese Studies in the University of Massachusetts Lowell College of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences announce the FLAD/Saab Visiting Professorship in Portuguese Studies for Spring Semester 2027. This program sponsors a one-semester, open-rank, Visiting Professor of Portuguese Studies at UMass Lowell. The program is open to Portuguese Academics presently teaching at a university in Portugal or abroad. The program contributes a Portuguese academic perspective to the curriculum of the College of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and, more specifically, supports the Portuguese Studies Program at UMass Lowell and the mission of the Saab Center for Portuguese Studies. The program further enhances the University's relationship with the regional Portuguese American community. For Spring Semester 2027, we seek a Visiting professor in the academic areas of Criminology, Film Studies, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Portuguese American Studies, or Sociology/Anthropology. The Visiting Professor will teach up to two courses in English and deliver one or more public lectures in their area of expertise. The program provides a competitive one-semester salary stipend. Staff Psychologist & Coordinator of Clinical Training UMass Boston
The Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training within University Health Services will provide high-quality, time-effective, evidence-based and culturally responsive clinical services, including: triage; emergency and crisis intervention services; referrals and evaluations; as well as individual and group counseling and psychotherapy. The incumbent will also provide consultation to faculty and staff and provide outreach to the campus community. The incumbent will manage a caseload so as to serve the maximum number of students who are appropriate for services at the University Health Services Counseling Center; and will consult with and/or make timely and appropriate mental health referrals for students as needed. In addition, the Staff Psychologist and Coordinator of Clinical Training will provide leadership for the University Health Services Counseling Center Clinical Practicum and Advanced Clinical Practicum, serving as the liaison between the Counseling Center and the graduate programs in which the trainees are enrolled. The incumbent will guide the process of planning and producing the yearly practicum orientation, assuming primary responsibility for ensuring that trainees and practicum supervisors understand and act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Counseling Center; will oversee all data collection pertaining to the evaluation of the practicum; and will be responsible for overseeing the application process for the Advanced Clinical Practicum.
Student Counselor and Recruiter UMass Boston
The Student Counselor/Recruiter will be responsible for coordination of the student recruitment process, the planning and promotion of program activities, program marketing, and student advising. S/he will plan, organize, promote and chaperone college- and career-related field trips and enrichment activities, as well as assist with the planning and implementation of program orientation for new Upward Bound students. The incumbent will assist with Upward Bound student selection, academic and college advising, and building relationships with students’ families. She will meet with a caseload of program participants, individually and through monthly grade cohort meetings, to provide holistic counseling and academic guidance related to their secondary school progress, college and career goals, and postsecondary entry. The Student Counselor/Recruiter will be responsible for maintaining areas of the Upward Bound database that are relevant to student recruitment and activities, collecting student data, and submitting regular reports to the Director of Programs. In collaboration with other program staff, the Student Counselor/Recruiter will promote and report on program events, via website updates and social media.
