The Department is seeking an individual to teach and to provide a high-quality education to its student body. Director of Operations UMass Boston
The Director of Operations will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Institute for Early Education Leadership and Innovation as it grows to the next level. This position requires a proactive, versatile, steady, and creative individual who enjoys managing multiple projects, and interaction with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
Postdoctoral Research Associate - Microbiota-host immune interactions UMass Lowell
The Steinel lab at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking a qualified candidate for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position starting in the Early Fall of 2020. The postdoc will work on developing tools to assess immune activation and gut cell function in a microfluidic gut-on-a-chip system.
Faculty Part-time - Public Health UMass Lowell
The Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is searching for part-time Adjunct Instructors to teach in its undergraduate and graduate Public Health programs. Under the general supervision of the department chair, the Shop and Facilities Manager for Environmental Conservation will support the department’s shop and lab facilities, including the Gloucester Marine Lab; be responsible for all lab renovation and building maintenance projects; coordinate all lab safety; coordinate maintenance of vehicle fleet; coordinate maintenance needs on forest properties; and coordinate logistical services including supervising technical and shop personnel and providing technical assistance with the Shop and Facilities Manager at the Olver Design Building (requiring cross-training in woodworking, CNC milling, 3D printing, laser cutting, vacuum forming and materials fabrication and testing). Research Analyst UMass Lowell
The Palacios group at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking a Research Analyst to focus data analysis for studies of the gut microbiome in relation to neurological disease in human epidemiological cohorts.  Our research group aims to study, understand and discover risk factors for neurological disease, using traditional epidemiological and novel omics methods.  We focus on Parkinson’s Disease, cognitive decline/Alzheimer’s disease and Depression and are particularly interested in the role of gut-brain axis, emphasizing studies of the gut microbiome in these conditions. We maintain close collaborations with top local universities, including Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard Medical School, Tufts University and the UMass Medical School and the department of Veteran’s Affairs.
