Summary

The Nanodevices and Integrated System Lab (http://nano.ecs.umass.edu/) is seeking Postdoctoral Research Associates to work in the exciting field of emerging AI hardware. The postdoc positions will play a key role in experimental research in the design and testing of hybrid integrated circuits with emerging devices and CMOS substrates.

 

Job Description

  • Design peripheral circuitry, fabricate hybrid integrated circuits, and develop the electrical testing capability (apparatus and protocols).
  • Test the circuits, collect data, analyze data, and prepare manuscripts for experimental works.
  • Supervise research activities within the lab, including meetings with graduate and undergraduate students to assist them in designing their experiments, analyzing their data, and presenting their results.
  • When and if opportunities come up to respond to funding opportunity announcements, requests for proposals, or other possibilities for funding, help the PI prepare for research proposals responding to those requests.

 

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related fields
  • Experience in design and testing of integrated circuits
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, teamwork ability, and communication skills in both oral and written English

 

Additional Information

  • This is a temporary, grant-funded position. The initial appointment will be one year, with the possibility of reappointment contingent upon the availability of grant funding and satisfactory performance
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience
  • Monday - Friday, 40  hours per week
