Assistant Teaching Professor – Organizational Behavior
The department of Management & Marketing of the Charlton College of Business at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth seeks an Assistant Teaching Professor in Organizational Behavior (OB) to teach four sections per semester of undergraduate courses, actively participate in pedagogical innovation and assessment of learning throughout the college, and engage in university or community service activities. The appointment will be effective on September 1st 2026.
The Assistant Teaching Professor in Organizational Behavior will bring expertise in leadership, motivation, communication and team management in addition to interest or expertise in organizational development and change. Professionals in this position are expected to deliver an outstanding teaching and learning experience, guide and support students through their academic challenges, individual academic advising needs, as well as advising of student clubs and/or chapters of professional association, career counseling, collaboration with the business community, student recruitment/retention, and curriculum development. The chosen candidate will teach courses in all delivery modalities, i.e. in-person, online and blended.
The Charlton College of Business is an AACSB-accredited school with 7 undergraduate degree programs, an MBA program and several specialized Master's degree programs which are offered in the traditional face to face, blended and fully online formats. Located on the South Coast of Massachusetts, Dartmouth is near some of the most beautiful coastline in the United States. Dartmouth is also conveniently located near Cape Cod, Providence, Newport, and Boston. New York is a three-hour train ride away.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher with emphasis in Organizational Behavior. If the Master’s degree is outside of business, then the candidate must have extensive work experience as a manager or higher level and demonstrate involvement in relevant activities, e.g. organizational change, development of a new business unit
Teaching experience at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels
Evidence on commitment to quality instruction and pedagogical innovation
Relevant professional experience of substantial duration (minimum 5 years) in supervisory positions
Ongoing professional/industry activity that is sufficient to sustain currency and Instructional Practitioner (IP) status under AACSB standards
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Experience working with diverse groups, teaching online, in academic advising, career advising, club advising
Expressed interest in supporting extra-curricular activities, performing duties as an academic advisor, engaging the business community through class projects, career development exercises, and student clubs/special events
SALARY: $85,000-$103,000
