The MCNHS and its Office of Research offer strong internal and external mentoring programs for faculty, including grant proposal and manuscript preparation. The National Cancer Institute funds the University of Massachusetts Boston-Dana Farber/Harvard Cancer Center grant (https://umb-dfhcc.org/); this longstanding collaboration has enabled faculty at both institutions to strengthen and extend partnerships for research on health disparities, PhD training, and community outreach.
The BS, MS, and DNP nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The MS and DNP programs focus on preparation of Family Nurse Practitioners and Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioners. The major focus of the PhD in nursing program is on population health and health policy.
