General Summary of Position:

The Project Manager’s chief responsibility is to lead or co-lead projects related to education program improvements that ensure the quality of TIHC humanities and STEM school programs and teaching materials. The Project Manager also leads or assists with tasks related to externally funded projects, such as grant writing and teacher professional development programming.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or minimum of two years’ experience in formal or informal education settings (classroom teacher, museum educator, teacher for outside-of-school-time programs)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of current theory and best practices in education, especially museum- or place-based education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced in collaborating effectively with diverse partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills such as active listening and respectful interactions, flexibility, respect for and incorporation of varying perspectives and experiences

This is a Grants & Contracts (MTA/GRACE) bargaining unit position, Grade P17 and is 80% FTE or 30 hours/week.

This position is contingent upon funding. The initial appointment will be for one year with a possibility of renewal based on successful performance and the availability of funding.
