Job Title: 
General Summary of Position: 
The graduate assistant will assist the Director of the Assessment and Planning and the University Assessment Council in working with colleges, schools, and departments in the development and operation of their assessment programs. 
 
Examples of Duties:
• Work directly with faculty and staff to support the development of program learning outcomes, curricular maps, and equity-minded assessment plans.
• Gather contextual data, analysis, and summary feedback that will inform the composition of assessment plans to be implemented at the department/area level. 
• Collect and archive assessment data in a manner that is efficient, timely, and integrated into the campus assessment process, and that promotes cross-departmental discussions.
• Assist the Director with developing and communicating feedback to faculty and non-academic administrators on how to develop assessment plans, use assessment data for continuous improvement, and encourage decision-making based on high-quality assessment data
• Curate resource links for assessment and evaluation of best practices, as well as campus reports and presentations
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program at UMass Boston. 
 
Desired Qualifications: 
  • Some experience in assessment of classroom and co-curricular learning
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis

Compensation: Full time graduate assistant stipend full time (18 hours/week), tuition waiver and GEO benefits.
