Job Summary
The Temporary Professional-Web & IT Support provides IT support and web design services for the Fine Arts Center. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating website content using Drupal and AudienceView, with additional duties in web programming and design. The incumbent provides support for digital communications through the production and testing of e-newsletters and contributes to the Fine Arts Center’s social media channels. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to researching and implementing technical solutions.
Essential Functions
- Maintain, design, and update the UMass Fine Arts Center’s website and database to keep 15,000+ patrons engaged with performances and informed about each season’s offerings.
- Use Drupal and AudienceView to manage and update website content, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
- Design, query, and compile digital communications sent to the Fine Arts Center’s 1,000+ patrons.
- Support digital communications by producing, testing, and optimizing e-newsletters.
- Assist in the design and maintenance of web pages, incorporating responsive design and accessibility best practices.
- Contribute content and technical support to the Fine Arts Center’s social media channels.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills and work independently to identify, research, and implement technical solutions that improve user experience and workflow.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Experience with website maintenance and design, including front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in web content management systems (e.g., Drupal) and email marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with database querying and structuring, with demonstrated experience improving data systems for accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to research and implement technical solutions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and support diverse user needs.
- Comfort working with digital tools and collaborative platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)
- Experience with AudienceView or similar ticketing/marketing platforms.
- Experience designing and sending digital newsletters or marketing emails.
- Experience working in arts, education, or nonprofit environments.

- This is a part-time position, terminating 8/30/2025.
Work Schedule
- 20 hours per week; Variable Schedule.
- This is a temporary, non-benefited position.
