The Nursing Lab and Simulation Tutor will work with nursing faculty and students on our Amherst campus and online to promote opportunities for educational development and growth. This position reports directly to the Simulation Lab Director when performing duties related to the teaching, tutoring, training, or lab prep. Primary teaching responsibilities will be teaching in the Simulation Lab. The Nursing Lab and Simulation Tutor will collaborate with faculty in conducting simulation scenarios and debriefing sessions. The Nursing Lab and Simulation Tutor will be working with academic leadership in the College of Nursing to provide short-term and long-range comprehensive strategic and operational planning in support of the simulation laboratories. The Nursing Lab and Simulation Tutor will be actively involved in the academic program and curriculum committee meetings for the integration of simulation experiences in meeting course and program objectives. Initial appointment of one year. Potential for reappointments and continuing appointment dependent on funding. |

The Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor for the College of Nursing will report directly to the Associate Dean. With expertise in: Medical Surgical Nursing, Health Assessment, Pediatric Nursing, and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, this clinical faculty member will participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programming in the College of Nursing. They will work with the College of Nursing faculty and other departments on campus to promote opportunities for inter-professional education.

This position requires a dynamic response to a constantly changing work environment. Advising and teaching responsibilities frequently compete for priority requiring flexibility and adaptability. This position requires the abilities of a very qualified educator with broad nursing faculty experience in clinical areas and levels of complexity including substantial expertise in teaching. |

The Energy Manager holds a campus-wide responsibility for overseeing energy programs and analysis across approximately 4.97 million square feet of academic, research, administrative, and residential building space. This role is integral to advancing the University’s mission to achieve significant energy and cost savings while reducing its environmental impact by minimizing its carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions.
The Energy Manager will play a critical role in developing, planning and implementing strategies to optimize energy use and reduce CO2 emissions across the University’s operations and capital programs. This includes advising on best practices, leveraging advanced building management system (BMS), maintaining a robust demand response program, and coordinating scheduled building retro-commissioning to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability.
In addition, the Energy Manager will collaborate to monitor utility costs, develop an energy procurement strategy, and establish utility purchasing policies. This coordination ensures a cohesive approach to energy management, cost efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
The University is a member of the “American College and University Presidents’ Climate Initiative” and is also participates in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DOER Leading by Example Program to reduce the environmental impacts of state agency operations. The University is participating in the Commonwealth’s Building Energy Intelligence (CBEI) program, under which state-of-the art energy meters were installed to measure the performance of building energy systems, allowing the University to make real-time adjustments to save energy and costs, and identify longer term capital needs and is pursuing strategies to further MAEO-594 compliance. |
