General Summary of Position:
The Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is searching for part-time Adjunct Instructors to teach health information Management courses. Courses include Healthcare Law, Privacy and Security, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, Healthcare Management, and Health Informatics.
Both online and in-person course teaching opportunities are available. Candidates will become an integral part of the program, working in collaboration with lead instructors. Teaching opportunities will vary by semester, with opportunities beginning in the Fall 2026.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, health policy, health communications, community health assessments, program planning, implementation and evaluation, and health econometrics. Prior experience in undergraduate/graduate teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems
- Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP)
- The Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE)
- Other AHIMA certifications
